The new 2025 Toyota 4Runner was recently revealed, and we’re just as excited to see this fresh take on the beloved SUV as you are. The 4Runner has always been an adventure-loving model that’s versatile and capable, and this upcoming iteration is better than ever. Its redesigned exterior is athletic and inviting, calling drivers to jump inside and start exploring. Once it’s on sale, we’ll have the new 2025 Toyota 4Runner for sale in Tennessee here at Wyatt Johnson Toyota. Until then, keep reading to find out more about this model’s redesign, its impressive features and powertrain, and the new trims that you can look forward to.

Features

Like its predecessors, the new generation 4Runner is tough and trail-ready, but it’s also a perfectly suited to everyday life. Toyota Newsroom shared that this model will have a standard power rear window with an available power liftgate, and you can upgrade to include an available 14-inch touchscreen display. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 will be included on all models; TSS 3.0 has safety and convenience features such as a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Tracing Assist, and more. For hands-free convenience, an available Digital Key makes it easy to access your vehicle without fumbling for a set of physical keys. Car and Driver notes that the redesigned 4Runner shares many similarities with the Toyota Tacoma, both on the inside and the outside, which you’ll be thrilled to hear if you’re a fan of this powerful pickup.

Powertrains

New 2025 Toyota 4Runner - Green

The standard and available powertrains in the new 2025 Toyota 4Runner are some of the most buzzworthy aspects of this model. Its standard engine, an i-FORCE turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, is nothing to scoff at; after all, it’s able to produce up to 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. However, the available i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain steals the show, producing up to 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This heavy hitter is the “most powerful powertrain ever offered on 4Runner,” according to Toyota — and it does it all while taking it easy on the planet.

Trims

New 2025 Toyota 4Runner - Brown

We mentioned the new 4Runner design, but did you know there are new trims as well? The newly added Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter trim is made for those who want to take their off-roading trips to the next level. This trim is essentially a factory-direct overland rig, with components from third-party manufacturers like ARB®, Old Man Emu®, and RIGID Industries®. The 4Runner Trailhunter comes with 2.5-inch forged shocks, rock rails, steel skid plates, 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T Tires, and more. Looking for a trim that’s focused on luxury overlanding? Toyota also revealed the first-ever Platinum trim. This premium grade comes with elegant black exterior elements, heated second-row seats, a standard tow tech package, and other features you’d expect in a high-end model.
