Toyota Tundra in Nature

Everything You Need to Know about the 2027 Toyota Tundra

The Tundra has always had a loyal following, and the 2027 model brings some genuine updates worth knowing about before you shop. Whether you have been eyeing an upgrade for a while or are just curious about what's new, we wanted to break down the real details rather than the rumors floating around online. If you are ready to see what is currently on our lot, take a look through our new Toyota trucks for sale near Clarksville. Key Points • The 2027 Tundra gets a meaningful refresh with updated styling, a new Trailhunter off-road package, and a standard 14-inch touchscreen. • The V8 is not returning for 2027, with the lineup continuing to offer a twin-turbo V6 and the 437 horsepower i -FORCE MAX hybrid. • An official release date hasn't been announced yet, but the 2027 Tundra is expected to arrive at dealerships in the coming months. 2027 Toyota Tundra Redesign This is not a ground up redesign, but it is a meaningful refresh. Here is what's changing: • Updated front end styling with a tougher, more refined look • A new Trailhunter package joining the off-road lineup alongside the TRD Pro • A standard 14-inch multimedia touchscreen across the lineup • A built-in drive recorder for added peace of mind • An upgraded Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite standard on every trim Will the 2027 Toyota Tundra have a V8 Engine Option? We know this is one of the most searched questions out there, so we want to be upfront about it. The V8 is not returning for the 2027 Tundra. Toyota moved away from the V8 during the truck's 2022 redesign in favor of a twin-turbocharged engine lineup, and that decision is carrying forward. Here is what you can expect under the hood: • A twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 as the standard engine, offering strong low-end power without a traditional V8 • The available i -FORCE MAX hybrid, combining the twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor for a combined 437 horsepower and 583-pound feet of torque, making it the most powerful Tundra ever built • Both powertrains paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission • Continued strong towing capability, even without a V8 in the lineup If a V8 is truly a dealbreaker for you, it is worth knowing that decision is unlikely to change anytime soon, since Toyota has invested heavily in this engine family for long term emissions compliance. When Is the 2027 Toyota Tundra Release Date? Toyota has not released an official on-sale date but based on prior model year timing and recent reporting, the 2027 Tundra is expected to arrive at dealerships in the coming months as production ramps up. Pricing details typically follow closer to launch, so it is worth staying in touch with our team as more specifics become available. Finding a Toyota Dealer Near You Choosing the right dealer matters just as much as choosing the right truck. A tire is being checked to make sure it is ready for the road.

Why You Should Check Your Tires Before the First Frost

As the crisp air of autumn begins to settle in, it’s easy to get swept up in seasonal festivities and forget about one of the most critical aspects of vehicle safety—your tires. Before the first frost hits, taking a few minutes to inspect your tires can make all the difference in how your car handles icy roads, sudden temperature drops, and unpredictable weather. It’s not just about safety—it’s about performance, longevity, and peace of mind. If you're unsure where to start, check out these service specials and coupons to make tire care more affordable. Why Frost Changes Everything When temperatures dip below freezing, tire rubber becomes less flexible, reducing traction. This is especially dangerous if your tires are already worn or improperly inflated. Frost can also lead to black ice, which is nearly invisible and extremely slippery. Having tires with good tread and proper pressure is your first line of defense. Start with a Car Maintenance Checklist Before winter sets in, your car maintenance checklist should include: Checking tire tread depth Inspecting for cracks or bulges Verifying tire pressure (cold weather lowers PSI) Rotating tires if needed Ensuring proper alignment These steps help ensure your tires are ready to grip the road when conditions get slick. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, searching for a tire shop near me can connect you with professionals who’ll do it right. What Are the Signs That My Tires Need to Be Replaced? If you notice uneven wear, shallow tread (less than 2/32 of an inch), or visible damage like cuts or bulges, it’s time to replace your tires. Vibrations while driving or poor handling in wet conditions are also red flags. Don’t wait until you’re sliding through an intersection to realize your tires aren’t up to the task. How Often Should I Change My Tires? Most experts recommend changing tires every 6 years, regardless of mileage, and sooner if tread wear is significant. However, driving habits, climate, and road conditions can shorten that timeline. Regular inspections—especially before winter—can help you stay ahead of problems. What’s the Difference Between All-Season, Winter, and Summer Tires? Understanding tire types can help you make smarter seasonal choices: All-season tires: Designed for moderate climates, they offer balanced performance but may struggle in extreme cold. Winter tires: Made with softer rubber and deeper tread, they excel in snow and ice. Summer tires: Optimized for warm weather, they provide excellent grip but harden in cold temperatures. If you live in an area with harsh winters, switching to winter tires before the first frost is a smart move. You can find the right fit using Toyota Genuine Parts for quality and compatibility. Schedule Your Tire Check Today The first frost is a wake-up call, not a deadline. Being proactive can save you from costly repairs, dangerous driving conditions, and unnecessary stress. Whether you’re due for a tire rotation, replacement, or just a quick inspection, schedule service before the cold sets in. Still have questions? Reach out through our contact page and let our experts guide you through winter readiness. Your tires are the only part of your car that touches the road—make sure they’re ready for what’s ahead.

Celebrating Student Success: 17th Annual Pass & Go Event at Wyatt Johnson Toyota

On August 2, 2025, Wyatt Johnson Toyota proudly hosted the 17th Annual Pass & Go Event in partnership with the CMC Education Foundation. Held at our dealership in Clarksville, TN, this year’s celebration was the biggest yet, with over 1,124 Clarksville School District high school students in attendance. Pass & Go has become a cherished community tradition, highlighting the hard work of students who excel on their Advanced Placement (AP) exams. Each year, students are recognized not just for their academic achievement but for the dedication and perseverance that will carry them into bright futures. How Pass & Go Works For every AP exam a student passes, they receive one ticket to enter the Pass & Go giveaway. This year, hundreds of students and families arrived bright and early, excited to participate in the event. To kick things off, we hosted a scavenger hunt throughout the dealership. Students and families explored the lot, completing fun tasks such as finding the price of an oil change or snapping a photo inside their favorite Toyota vehicle. After finishing the scavenger hunt, students could turn in their cards and claim a piece of Toyota swag - a small but memorable keepsake from a day of fun and recognition. Once everyone was checked in, the real excitement began with a prize drawing. Students had the chance to win: Zaxby’s gift cards Exxon gift cards courtesy of Beach Oil Company Laptops and iPads sponsored by Google and Jostens The energy in the room was electric as winners were called, each prize bringing cheers from students, parents, and teachers alike. The Grand Finale: A Toyota Corolla Giveaway The highlight of the event came when 10 lucky students were chosen from the drawing to move on to the Toyota Corolla giveaway. Each finalist picked a car key, one of which would start a brand-new Toyota Corolla sitting on our lot. Noah Thompson, a senior at Montgomery Central High School, was the second student to try his key – and this year’s winner. As soon as the car roared to life, Noah jumped up in celebration, throwing his arms in the air. “I’m shaking,” he said. “I don’t even know what to do.” Noah’s reaction was pure joy, a reminder of why this event is so meaningful to our community. To make sure no one left disappointed, Wyatt Johnson Toyota gifted laptops to the remaining nine finalists, ensuring every student who made it to the finale left with something valuable to support their academic journey. Why We Do It At Wyatt Johnson Automotive, our mission extends beyond selling cars; we believe in investing in the future of our community. Earlier this year, we were honored to partner with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation and the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to present teachers with a District Teacher of the Year award. Education is the foundation of growth, and recognizing teachers and students who work hard and achieve academically is one way we give back. For 17 years, Pass & Go has stood as a symbol of our commitment to students and families in Clarksville and Montgomery County. This event is about more than just prizes. It’s about celebrating effort, achievement, and potential. “To see the expression on Noah’s face was exciting; it was priceless,” said Brian Burkeen, Wyatt Johnson General Manager. “We had no idea when we started this 17 years ago that we’d still be in this program. We are proud to be a part of this event annually; it is one of our favorite events.” Our Partners in Celebration Pass & Go would not be possible without the incredible support of our partners and sponsors: CMC Education Foundation Zaxby’s Beach Oil Company Google Jostens CDE Lightband Together, we created an unforgettable day for students and families, reinforcing that hard work pays off and that the community is behind them every step of the way. Looking Ahead The 17th Annual Pass & Go was our biggest and most successful community event in Clarksville yet, but we know it’s only the beginning. As more students take on the challenge of AP exams, we look forward to celebrating even greater numbers of achievers in the years to come. At Wyatt Johnson Toyota, we’re honored to play a role in these students’ stories. Whether it’s through a gift card, a laptop, or even the keys to a brand-new Toyota Corolla, Pass & Go is about giving back in a way that matters. Congratulations once again to Noah Thompson and to every student who worked hard and earned a spot at this year’s celebration. Here’s to continuing a tradition of excellence and community pride.

The 1980 Toyota Celica Supra

This History of Toyota

Toyota, a name synonymous with innovation and reliability, has a rich history that spans over eight decades. From its inception to its present-day stature as a leading automobile manufacturer, the Toyota Corporation history is nothing short of remarkable. Delve into the story of Toyota, exploring its evolution from its first truck to the latest hybrid vehicles and best-selling models that define the brand today, and stop by Wyatt Johnson Toyota to explore the latest models firsthand! The Birth of Toyota Toyota Motors history begins in 1933 when Kiichiro Toyoda established the automobile division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. The aim was to diversify the business and enter the promising automobile industry. In 1936, Toyota released its first passenger car, the Model AA, marking the birth of what would become one of the most successful car manufacturers in the world. The Early Years In the early years, Toyota faced numerous challenges, including limited resources and a competitive market dominated by American and European automakers. Despite these obstacles, Toyota persevered, focusing on quality and innovation as its guiding principles. By 1937, Toyota Motor Corporation was officially established as an independent company, setting the stage for future growth. Post-War Expansion The aftermath of World War II presented both challenges and opportunities for Toyota, as well as the beginning of the Toyota 4x4 history. The company resumed production in 1947 with the release of the Toyota SA, a compact passenger car that laid the foundation for future models. The real breakthrough came in 1951 with the introduction of the Toyota Land Cruiser, a rugged 4x4 vehicle that quickly gained a reputation for its durability and off-road capabilities. Global Expansion The 1950s and 1960s marked a period of significant growth for Toyota as it expanded its reach beyond Japan. The company began exporting vehicles to the United States in 1957, starting with the Toyopet Crown. Although the initial reception was lukewarm, Toyota learned valuable lessons and adapted its products to suit the preferences of American consumers. By the 1970s, Toyota had firmly established itself as a global player in the automotive industry, thanks in part to the success of models like the Corolla and the Celica. The company's commitment to quality and innovation continued to drive its growth, leading to a series of technological advancements and product launches. Toyota Prius History and Development In the 1990s, Toyota once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation with the development of the Toyota Prius. Launched in 1997, the Prius was the world's first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, combining a gasoline engine with an electric motor to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The Impact of the Prius The development of the Prius was a bold move for Toyota, as the concept of hybrid technology was still in its infancy. However, the company's investment in research and development paid off, as the Prius quickly became a symbol of environmental responsibility and technological innovation. The success of the Prius paved the way for the development of other hybrid models and solidified Toyota's reputation as a leader in eco-friendly automotive technology. Today, the Prius remains one of the best-selling hybrid vehicles in the world, with millions of units sold globally. Modern Advancements and Innovations As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Toyota remains at the forefront of innovation. The company is committed to developing cutting-edge technologies that enhance performance, safety, and sustainability. Embracing Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology In recent years, Toyota has expanded its focus to include electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell technology. The Toyota Mirai, launched in 2014, is a prime example of the company's commitment to alternative energy sources. As one of the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicles available to consumers, the Mirai represents Toyota's vision for a sustainable future. Advanced Safety Features and Autonomous Driving Toyota is also investing heavily in advanced safety features and autonomous driving technology. The Toyota Safety Sense package, introduced in 2015, includes a suite of features such as pre-collision systems, lane departure alerts, and adaptive cruise control, designed to enhance driver safety and confidence. The company's efforts in autonomous driving are exemplified by its investments in research and development, partnerships with tech companies, and the launch of the Toyota Research Institute, which focuses on artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous vehicle technology. A Legacy of Innovation and Quality The Toyota Company’s history has consistently prioritized quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. This commitment has earned the company numerous accolades and a loyal customer base worldwide. Toyota RAV4 vs Honda CR-V: The Ultimate 2025 Showdown

When it comes to choosing a compact SUV, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 and 2025 Honda CR-V are two of the top contenders in the market. Both offer impressive features, reliability, and a comfortable driving experience, but which one is the right fit for you? In this blog, we’ll compare the key differences between these two popular models to help you make an informed decision. Whether you’re looking for performance, safety features, or overall value, Wyatt Johnson Toyota is here to guide you every step of the way. With a knowledgeable team ready to assist you in exploring the 2025 Toyota RAV4’s standout features, we can help you find the perfect vehicle to meet your needs and lifestyle. Performance: Power Meets Efficiency One of the biggest factors to consider when comparing the Honda CR-V vs Toyota RAV4 is performance. The 2025 Toyota RAV4 offers a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 203 horsepower. For those seeking better fuel efficiency, the hybrid version of the RAV4 pairs this engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined 219 horsepower. With an EPA-estimated 41 MPG city and 38 MPG highway for the hybrid model, the RAV4 delivers excellent fuel economy. On the other hand, the Honda CR-V features a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 190 horsepower. For those looking for a more efficient ride, the CR-V also offers a hybrid version that combines this turbo engine with an electric motor for a total of 204 horsepower. The CR-V hybrid delivers an EPA-estimated 40 MPG city and 34 MPG highway. While both models offer solid fuel efficiency, the Toyota RAV4 has a slight edge in terms of horsepower, especially in the hybrid variant. If power and overall performance are your priorities, the RAV4 could be the better option. Interior Space: Comfort and Convenience Both SUVs offer a range of tech features, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The Toyota RAV4 comes with a standard 8-inch touchscreen, with a larger 10.5-inch option available in higher trims. The Honda CR-V, on the other hand, comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, with an optional 9-inch touchscreen on higher trims. While both offer modern technology, the Toyota RAV4 stands out due to its larger touchscreen display, offering better responsiveness and easier access to essential functions. Reliability and Resale Value Both the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V are known for their long-lasting reliability, making them excellent choices for those looking for a vehicle that will stand the test of time. Toyota has built a reputation for building durable vehicles, and the RAV4 is no exception. In fact, the Toyota RAV4 is often regarded as the best Toyota SUV in terms of resale value and long-term reliability. Honda also has a strong reputation for reliability, and the Honda CR-V continues this tradition. While both vehicles hold their value well over time, the Toyota RAV4 tends to have a slight edge when it comes to overall durability and resale value. Pricing: Value for Money When it comes to pricing, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 starts at $28,850 for the base trim, with higher trims reaching around $40,000. The Honda CR-V has a similar starting price of $30,100, with fully loaded models topping out around $41,000. Both vehicles offer a variety of trim options to suit different budgets, with hybrid models priced slightly higher. In terms of value for money, both the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V provide excellent features for their price points. However, the RAV4 offers more hybrid options and slightly better performance in its hybrid variant, which could justify the slightly higher price. Which One Should You Choose? So, which vehicle is the best choice for you? The answer depends on your needs and preferences. If you’re looking for a popular SUV that offers better hybrid performance, more power, and Toyota’s legendary reliability, the Toyota RAV4 is the ideal choice. Its strong hybrid performance and available off-road capabilities make it a versatile and well-rounded option. On the other hand, if you prioritize extra rear-seat space and cargo capacity, the Honda CR-V might be the better fit. It offers a more spacious interior, especially for passengers, and a larger cargo area, making it a great option for families and those who need to haul gear. Making the Choice: Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V? In conclusion, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 stands out as the superior choice over the 2025 Honda CR-V due to its exceptional performance, advanced safety features, and robust lineup of trims that cater to a variety of driving preferences. Whether you're seeking better fuel efficiency, an off-road-ready adventure model, or the latest in technology, the RAV4 delivers it all with unmatched reliability and value.
